Recent Geek projects!

I'm hoping to make up for my serious blogger neglect by showing you a couple of prints I designed recently.
I was commissioned by Mr Geek over at Mr Geek Designs to illustrate a family portrait..but true to his name the family got a geek make-over!

The print was for his partner Anna (of GeekKraft fame) for her Birthday, from the children.
He also asked me to design another print, and to say I was honoured to be asked was a mahoosive understatement!

He only freakin' PROPOSED to Anna by giving her this:

How flippin' awesome huh!
I'm happy to report that she said YES!! wohoo.
Congratulations Mr and Mrs Geek

This is a logo I did for a company called (funnily enough) Safe and Found.
It's a company promoting safety awareness for children.
I was asked to draw a family and include as many safety elements as I could - see how many you can spot!

...and here are a couple of close ups...

It's finished!!

Here is my latest creation, my jolly ol' pirate scene full of lots of cheeky buccaneering bandits!!
I have set myself the task of completing a series of 'scene pieces' to expand my portfolio as I love drawing these more in-depth designs. I have a pretty long list of designs I want to doodle, so here is the 'Pirates' one ticked off!!

...and here are some close-ups...

oh dear mr. sozzled spider!!
Pirate progress part two.
Snoozing (boozing) on the job. It's a hard life being a buccaneer!

Pirate Pidge!
Part of a new project i'm working on...
The lovely team over at Jeego have turned one of my designs in to an awesome little animation.
It is the first time any of my work has been animated so i'm buzzing right now!!
Well done Jeego, I love it :D

...and here is how my design looked before they brought it to life...

Jeego are working their magic of a few more of my designs too, so watch this space...
ROOOOAAAAAARRRRRRR!!

Here is my finished piece for this months Pencil Play Collective 'Spring Cleaning' themed doodle.

I wanted to design a scene that had lots of things going on and different things to look at.
I don't often get the chance to really work in to a piece so I had a lot of fun with this.
As I love drawing characters and animals I decided on a more literal take on the theme. I chose to draw a nice cheery spring scene where the sun was shining and there were lots of animals happily cleaning away.
The little rebel in me couldn't resist adding a little bit of mess to the scene too though! I decided on a little mole who through innocently tunnelling up to join the fun ends up making a right ol' muddy mess!

...and this is the initial sketch where the idea started from...

Here is a link to PPC's website, go and check them out, they're a lovely ol' lot they are!!

cute overload!

Check out these cute pics of my little Rockstar getting all excitable over his new print that will soon be going up in his room.
The print is by the super talented illustrator Ian Dutton who I have admired for a while now. If you haven't already discovered his work go and check him out, his designs are total fabness!

I've been working on some top secret stuff recently, the kind of If I told you about it I would have to destroy straight after kind of stuff!
So until I can reveal all I thought i'd show you how I recently applied one of my birdie designs to a duvet cover for little girls.

So, today I have mainly been putting together my entries for the 5th Global Design a Sock contest for 'Sock it to me'. Designing socks is a first for me and it was a lot of fun! Here are the five tootsie-warming designs i've submitted.

Here are a couple of my Tigerprint design submissions for their 'Lovely days' competition.
I don't play with typography very often but i've had a lot of fun, I'd now like to do a range of these.
I have been a big fan of Tigerprint for years so fingers crossed, wish me luck!
